Four lawyers from Womble Bond Dickinson have been recognised in the 2025 Pro Bono Recognition List of England and Wales.

The list features solicitors and barristers who have given 25 hours of legal pro bono assistance in the last year, showcasing their commitment to community engagement and championing social inclusion.

Set up under the sponsorship of the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee, endorsed by the Lady Chief Justice and with the support of the Law Society, Bar Council and all major pro bono legal organisations, the Recognition List celebrates the valuable contribution of individual lawyers at firms and organisations of all sizes who provide pro bono legal help to those in need.

This follows on from the firm’s hard work across a number of pro bono projects including support for Blackburn-based Humraaz, a project seeking a new women's refuge. Led by Managing Associate Nazmin Akthar, the team worked tirelessly to negotiate lease terms and conduct due diligence to ensure the refuge continues to meet the urgent needs of its service users.
