Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has advised RES on the sale of a UK solar farm project to Innagreen Investments.
The Longhedge Solar Farm, located in Nottinghamshire, is a consented project with a capacity of approximately 49.9MW, expected to generate enough clean electricity to power around 15,000 homes annually once operational.
WBD's team supported RES on the corporate, tax and real estate aspects of the transaction.
In addition to delivering renewable power, the Longhedge project incorporates measures to enhance biodiversity and local community access, reflecting the growing importance of sustainable land use and environmental stewardship in energy projects.
This transaction follows the sale by RES of the Dunbeg South wind farm near Limavady, Northern Ireland in late October 2025 to Innagreen Investments, which the WBD team also advised on.
Corporate partner Ian Holden led the WBD team, working with Eleanor Bentley (corporate), Ronan Lowney (tax) and real estate colleagues Simon Hughes, Gareth Miles and Shannon Cross.
Ian said:
"We're delighted to have supported RES on the Longhedge and the Dunbeg South transactions. These projects highlight the continued strength of the UK renewables market and the quality of RES's development projects' pipeline."
Lucy Whitford, UK & Ireland Managing Director at RES, said:
"We're delighted to partner with Innagreen on the Dunbeg South and Longhedge projects. Their investment reinforces confidence in the UK renewables sector and ensures these projects will deliver lasting benefits for consumers, local businesses, and the economy. Womble Bond Dickinson's support in these transactions further strengthens our longstanding relationship - we truly value the depth of expertise and commitment they bring to each project."
