Adam is a solicitor in our Planning and Infrastructure team. He joined the team in September 2022 having trained and qualified with the firm. During his training, Adam has gained a breadth of commercial experience having completed a secondment with a global retailer. 

During training in the Planning and Infrastructure team, Adam assisted with the drafting of numerous section 106 agreements, carried out planning due diligence for small and large projects across the country, researched into niche areas of planning law including Bio Diversity Net Gain, Marine Net Gain, Community Infrastructure Levy's, Town and Village Greens, Scheduled Monument Consent and Consecrated Land. Adam also gained experience working on Transport and Works Act Orders and assisted the team with large scale Development Consent Orders.

Since qualification, Adam has continued to grow his knowledge of both Town and Country Planning matters and Development Consent Orders, including process and has been heavily involved in the examination process of a nationally significant infrastructure project. Adam has also assisted the team with contentious planning appeals. Adam has delivered training to the wider team and has also spoken at the Real Estate Quarterly talks on the updated Use Class Order and has spoken on the subject of the Green Claims Code at the Plymouth Manufacturers Group seminar.

Adam has a successful track record of acting for housebuilders, registered providers and multiple local authorities. 

Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor, Adam gained experience in the Travel and Tourism industry having been a Travel Agent, ran a bar out in Gran Canaria and also as Cabin Crew for a major UK airline. This has given Adam numerous transferable skills in event planning, client care, sales, communication, customer satisfaction, Adam is a strong entrepreneurship professional with a Master of Laws (LL.M) focused in Legal practice.

  • Advising Local Planning Authorities on ad hoc planning queries
  • Drafting and negotiating other infrastructure agreements
  • Advising Financial institutions, landowners and developers in respect of site planning history and due diligence on multi-million pound transactions.
