Following its recent transatlantic combination Womble Bond Dickinson has recruited a new consultant to work with its Real Estate sector team.

Nick On, who was previously Group General Counsel of Grainger PLC, will be joining Womble Bond Dickinson as a consultant to help expand the firm's client base in the real estate and finance sectors.

Nick has over 25 years' experience in both private practice and on the client side as a transactional and relationship lawyer working in the residential real estate sector as well as with major banks and financial institutions. Nick's experience compliments Womble Bond Dickinson's existing strengths in these areas.

During his time at Grainger, Nick led internal and external teams on formulating, structuring and negotiating all of its major strategic transactions, including the £325m sale of the Retirement Solutions Division to Turbo Group Holdings and the formation of the GRIP Fund with APG.

Kevin Robertson, Partner and Head of Newcastle at Womble Bond Dickinson, comments: "We are delighted to have Nick joining us at Womble Bond Dickinson with his array of experience. We hire exceptional people and Nick is a great example of the firm investing in outstanding individuals, so we can continue providing unsurpassed service in the North East. He will make an excellent addition to the real estate team here in Newcastle."

Nick On, Consultant at Womble Bond Dickinson, said: "I am delighted to join Womble Bond Dickinson as a consultant. It's a firm I have admired for many years both as a rival and as a service provider and the recent merger to form a true transatlantic firm makes this a very exciting time to be part of the firm. Womble Bond Dickinson has very strong credentials, and a fantastic client portfolio. I'm excited to be able to assist with its further strategic growth."
