Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has been named as a supplier on the Government Commercial Agency (GCA)’s Legal Panel for Public Sector framework, securing places on all seven lots it bid for.

Launching on 13 August 2026, the panel will provide public sector organisations with access to a broad range of legal services. It replaces the previous RM6240 Public Sector Legal Services framework, where WBD was also an appointed supplier.

WBD has been appointed to:

  • Lot 1a – Full Legal Service Provision for all Public Sector
  • Lot 1b – Full Legal Service Provision for Local Government and Local Communities
  • Lot 2 – Focused Legal Support
  • Lot 3 – Litigation and Disputes
  • Lot 4 – Projects and Complex Advice (including PPP)
  • Lot 5 – Transport and Rail
  • Lot 6 – Costs Lawyer Services.

Through the framework, central government, local authorities, education bodies, health organisations and the wider public sector will be able to access WBD’s legal expertise through a single, streamlined procurement route.

The appointment reflects WBD’s longstanding experience advising public sector organisations on complex legal, regulatory and commercial matters, and strengthens its position as a trusted adviser across the sector. While WBD already has framework appointments in place on similar contracts, such as the NEPO and SPS legal frameworks, the GCA framework brings the broadest range of public sector opportunities.

Iain Greenshields, partner at WBD, said:

"We are delighted to have secured appointments across every lot we bid for on the new Legal Panel for Public Sector framework. Our reappointment demonstrates the strength and breadth of our public sector offering and reflects the trusted relationships we have built with organisations across the UK.

"The new framework provides public sector buyers with straightforward access to specialist legal expertise across a wide range of disciplines, and we look forward to continuing to support organisations as they deliver essential services and major projects for communities across the country."
