International law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has released its latest annual Responsible Business report, showcasing its progress in advancing sustainability, fostering inclusion and supporting local communities.

The report spotlights major achievements across the past year, as well as outlining the firm’s ambitious goals and commitments for the next financial year.

An important milestone this year includes the onboarding of a new social value reporting platform to track the impact of WBD’s responsible business efforts, capturing initiatives such as its apprenticeship programme, carbon emission reduction, wellbeing actions, charitable giving and community volunteering, as well as pro bono work.

Key highlights this year include:

  • 1,600+ hours given to charities across the UK through volunteering
  • 85% of colleagues took a Wellbeing Day, a significant increase from 58% last year
  • Celebrating Muslim Heritage month for the second consecutive year, the first law firm to champion this
  • 29.7% reduction of office space footprint in London as part of our London office refurbishment
  • Launching the WBD Foundation grant giving scheme, supporting groundbreaking projects across climate action, diversity and inclusion, as well as mental health and wellbeing.
