Lawyers from our Newcastle office have played a significant role in Newcastle's Property Deal of the Year. Newcastle Science Central was recently named the winner of Insider's North East Property Awards.
Newcastle Science Central is Newcastle's £350m flagship regeneration project to create a global centre for urban innovation and was established by Newcastle City Council and Newcastle University.
Bond Dickinson has supported the development of Science Central since conception including advising the City Council on the completion of a multi-million pound deal with Newcastle University and Legal and General Capital, the principal investment arm of the Legal and General Group.
Most recently the construction team at Bond Dickinson, led by Ian Atkinson, Partner, advised on the contract arrangements for the Newcastle Laboratory, the latest specialist facility in development at Science Central. The Laboratory is set to provide over 70,000 sq ft of space and will offer incubation and grow-on space to businesses in the life science and healthcare sector.
