Jason specialises in residential property litigation advising investors, Real Estate Investment Trusts, social landlords, Build to Rent and private sector residential property portfolio holders, on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious housing, landlord and tenant, leasehold, service charges and portfolio management. 

Jason also has extensive experience in residential housing developments and dealing with due diligence on acquisitions and disposals of tenanted stock for clients. He assists developers, land owners, housing associations, investors, Build to Rent operators and property holding companies on site acquisitions and disposals, option agreements, development agreements, conditional contracts, golden brick agreements, design and build agreements, estate set up and disposals.

Jason is a trustee board member for Dulverton Group YMCA, which in addition to being a charity, is a Registered Provider of Social Housing. He has served on the housing committee as well as the main board for eight years.

Examples of experience include advising:

  • English Cities Fund on mandatory consultation requirement stemming from a qualifying long term agreement involving a Communal Heat and Power facility
  • Local authorities, ALMOs, regional and national social landlords and PRS landlords on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious asset management, housing management, leasehold management, property/land disputes and anti-social behaviour
  • Acting for a social housing real estate investment trust appraising and reporting on contractual and statutory rights and obligations during proposed numerous acquisitions of residential tenanted stock.
