Womble Bond Dickinson’s Global Business and Government Contracts teams will take part in the Space & Missile Defence (SMD) Symposium, a key educational, professional development and networking event for the aerospace and defence sectors. SMD will take place from 8 to 10 August in Huntsville, Alabama.
WBD lawyers from the U.S. and UK attending the SMD Symposium will include:

The speakers for the three-day SMD Symposium will include both private sector leaders from aerospace and defence companies as well as high-ranking officers and officials from key military and government agencies, including Missile Defence Agency; Space and Missile Defence Command; Space Command; Army Futures Command; and Army Materiel Command. In addition, leaders and professionals from our nation’s allies will be in attendance. This year’s Symposium is expected to attract more than 200 exhibiting organizations and 5,000+ industry professionals.
Huntsville is a hub for the U.S. aerospace and defence sectors. Redstone Arsenal is home to more than 70 defence and federal entities and Cummings Research Park is the second-largest research park in the U.S. In 2022, Womble Bond Dickinson opened the firm’s Huntsville office with a focus on serving aerospace and defence clients.
