International law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has been reappointed to provide support to a leading procurement hub for local authorities.
The firm has been reappointed to the NEPO full service panel for another four year period.
NEPO facilitates high-value procurement in major strategic areas of spend (such as construction, energy, and facilities management) in conjunction with North East local authorities and a range of associate members from the wider UK public sector. It currently has more than 1,000 member organisations nationwide, ranging from local authorities and educational establishments to NHS bodies, registered social housing landlords and emergency services.
A team led by partners Deborah Ramshaw and Kevin Robertson led on the extensive tender process, which saw the firm's public sector excellence highlighted as a key reason for its reappointment.
Deborah Ramshaw, partner in WBD's Commercial team, said:
"NEPO is a very important organisation, particularly in the north east, known for its ability to deliver procurement solutions for local authorities and the wider public sector, and our reappointment is a fantastic endorsement of our approach to supporting the member authorities with excellent client service.
We're excited by the potential to consolidate our existing relationships, build new ones and help our clients to succeed over the coming four years, and we look forward to working with NEPO on helping them achieve their goals.”
Carl Telford, Professional Services lead at NEPO, said:
“Delivering positive outcomes to the communities we serve is at the heart of what we do at NEPO. Our legal services framework has been designed specifically with the needs of the public sector in mind, offering access to a wide variety of legal specialisms that are reflective of contracting authorities requirements. I encourage any public sector organisation looking for a solution to legal services to get in touch via our website.”
