Womble Bond Dickinson's (WBD) private wealth team has once again been recognised as one of the top law firms in the UK by the annual ePrivateClient survey.
The survey recognises firms that provide the highest quality professional advice and support to private wealth clients in the UK and internationally. The Top Law Firms list is compiled through thorough analysis of law firms in the UK including revenue, expertise and headcount.
This accolade is the latest in a strong year for WBD's private wealth team, which provides legal, tax, financial and wealth management advice to individuals, families and advisors in the UK and abroad. In September, WBD was recognised at the Legal Business Awards for being the top private client team in the country, handling high-value work in the areas of lifetime planning, contentious and non-contentious trusts and probate, agriculture and estate, and charities.
The team also retained its top tier ranking in the 2022 edition of the Chambers High Net Worth Guide, which focuses specifically on the international private wealth market and covers private wealth management work and related specialisms in key jurisdictions around the world. This year's directory recognised WBD's teams in London, Bristol, Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland, with clients describing the firm's expertise as 'second to none'.
Highlights of the past year include advising on the sale of a historic 17,000-acre sporting estate and one of the UK’s most famous grouse moors; and acting as an independent trustee in an Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies dispute over land which was successfully appealed to the Court of Appeal.
Neil Long, partner and head of private capital at WBD, commented:
"We are delighted to have once again been named in Tier 1 of ePrivateClient's Top Law Firms. Our continued presence in the list is attributable to the firm's strong partner-led service and to our innovation in service delivery. WBD's private wealth team prides itself on providing high quality service and advice to our clients and this recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.
"Our thanks must also go to our clients: our foundations are built on putting clients at the heart of all we do and providing them with an outstanding experience."
WBD's private wealth team continues to go from strength to strength. The firm recently appointed new solicitors Charlotte Wardman and Ellen Rutherford, and Alice Causer and Iain Stewart were amongst the 28 UK-wide promotions announced by the firm this month.
