Thalia joined the firm as a paralegal in the Intellectual Property Team in January 2019 and qualified as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in August 2022.

Thalia's work involves managing, protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights including trade marks, designs and domain names, at a national and international level. She works on contentious and non-contentious matters covering the full range of intellectual property matters.

Thalia's experience includes providing clients with pre-filing advice, conducting clearance searches, drafting specifications and filing proposals, dealing with specification queries from the UK and EU Intellectual Property Offices, filing applications and overseeing procedural details of trade mark and design registrations in the UK and internationally. Thalia has experience in drafting contacts such as intellectual property assignment documents, and liaising with foreign agents to prosecute and maintain worldwide trade mark portfolios.

On the contentious side, her work involves managing oppositions, advising on conflicting applications, negotiating in disputes, preparing statements of case, drafting witness statements and compiling evidence. She has also assisted with domain name disputes and actions at the UK Company Names Tribunal.

Thalia acts for clients in various sectors including retail, real estate, banking, insurance and charities.
