Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has launched Accelerate, a dedicated programme designed to help ambitious digital startups and scaleups put strong legal foundations in place as they grow.
The programme is aimed at early-stage digital businesses with genuine growth potential, including those operating across software, digital infrastructure, data analytics, computing technologies and technology-enabled services.
Accelerate offers eligible businesses an initial high-level legal review covering core areas such as corporate structure, shareholder arrangements, employee terms and key commercial documentation. The review is designed to help founders identify legal risks, address potential gaps and prepare for future investment or growth.
Selected businesses will also be able to access wider support from WBD’s multidisciplinary teams, including advice on fundraising, data protection, intellectual property, data protection, employment and corporate governance.
Oliver Rickett, partner at Womble Bond Dickinson, said:
“Scaling a digital business brings huge opportunity, but it also creates legal and commercial challenges that can quickly become barriers to growth if they are not addressed early.
“Accelerate is designed to give ambitious founders practical, commercially focused support at the point they need it most, helping them build confidence with investors, customers and commercial partners as they scale.”
The programme will be limited to a small number of businesses each year to ensure participants receive focused support from WBD’s specialist teams.
