We are happy to announce four partner promotions as part of our continuation to grow our national presence. The promotions are effective from 1 May 2016.
Jackie Gray has been promoted to Projects & Procurement partner in the firm's Leeds office. She specialises in public sector projects, public law and information law. She has acted on a variety of PPP/PFI projects, predominantly in the local government sector with experience in leisure, education, energy and social housing and has significant experience advising public and private sector clients on freedom of information and data protection issues. Jackie’s promotion further strengthens the firm’s growing presence in the Yorkshire local authority market.
Ian Atkinson has been promoted to Construction Partner in the firm's Newcastle office. Ian specialises in transactional construction matters and has a wide range of experience including major projects/PFI/PPP, real estate development, social housing, energy and infrastructure, education, health and local government regeneration projects.
Richard Collins has been promoted to Dispute Resolution Partner in the firm's Newcastle office and specialises in high-value commercial litigation and contentious procurement matters. Richard has a particular focus on the financial institutions, transport and public sectors.
Andrew Parsons has also been promoted to Dispute Resolutions Partner in the firm's Southampton office. Andy focuses on litigation in the technology and energy sectors. He specialises in IT and data protection disputes, including advising on enforcement action by the ICO and managing information security breaches.

We are committed to promoting within the firm wherever possible, as well as bringing in strategic lateral hires where it fits with what our clients need. In addition to these promotions, the firm has made two partner lateral hires since the start of the year. Robert Phillips, Corporate Partner joined the team in Newcastle on 4 April 2016 from Muckle LLP and Julia Field joined as a real estate partner in the firm's Leeds office on 2 February from Shulmans.
