WBD has advised South Holland District Council on its recent agreement with Parkwood Leisure to operate two leisure facilities in Lincolnshire. Parkwood Leisure took over the management of the facilities last week (1 March) and will run them until 2024.
The successful outcome will help fulfil the Authority's vision to deliver an increase in leisure opportunities to all residents and visitors and to contribute to the delivery of the key public health outcomes through an increase in the uptake in physical activity across the District. As part of the agreement, Parkwood Leisure will be making a number of improvements to the facilities, highlighting its commitment to customers, continuous improvement and top quality service.
WBD's Projects and Procurement team was led by Andrew Hirst (Managing Associate) supported by Nicholas Moss (Associate) and Jake Unsworth (Trainee Solicitor). The team has been working with the Council to deliver the comprehensive Leisure Operating Contract since the early part of 2018.
Andrew, commented:
"The finalising of the agreement is the culmination of over a year's work and I would like to thank Nicholas and Jake for their support on this project. "
Sarah Wolstenholme-Smy, Legal Services Manager, at South Holland District Council, added:
"We would like to thank Andrew and his team at Womble Bond Dickinson as they dealt with matters in an expeditious and professional manner. They have provided extensive support and were always willing to help with any queries that we had."
