Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has advised house-builder Duchy Homes on acquiring its largest development site to date, a 16 acre site at the Potters Hill development near Chapelgarth.
The WBD team, led by partner Tom Willows, provided legal advice to Duchy Homes on the deal. The site is expected to accommodate 179 high quality homes. Potters Hill is a key part of the South Sunderland Growth Area being led by Sunderland City Council.
Tom commented:
"It has been a pleasure to work with the team at Duchy Homes on reaching exchange of contracts on this complex but rewarding transaction. The development marks exciting progress for Duchy Homes in expanding their reach to more and more customers looking for high quality homes. The development will also be great for Sunderland and it is excellent to see the work that Sunderland City Council are doing to make the area even more desirable for people to set up their lives and homes."
