Womble Bond Dickinson has been nominated for two awards at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2022. The firm has been shortlisted in the Sustainability and Diversity & Inclusion award categories.

Nick Barwood, UK Chair WBD, commented:

"Being recognised by these leading industry awards is excellent news. We're proud of the progress we have made over the last 12 months, and remain determined to play a pivotal role in creating better places to live, work and do business in."

In 2021 Womble Bond Dickinson was amongst the first law firms in the UK to announce its commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2030. WBD's continuous improvement to its environmental performance has been recognised by EcoVadis, the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings, as well as The Planet Mark which awarded WBD its fourth consecutive accreditation. The firm also holds the ISO14001 International Standard in Environmental Management and is a founding member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance, an inclusive movement of law firms working collaboratively to take positive action on climate change.

WBD holds gold status in the Law Society Diversity and Inclusion Charter and is one of the first businesses in the UK to have been awarded an accreditation against the sixth generation Investors in People Standard. WBD is one of ten law firms in the UK to be awarded the first Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) and was featured in The Lawyer's Top 200 as a 'Diversity Pioneer'.

The LexisNexis Legal Awards recognise and celebrate excellence and innovation across the legal sector. The award ceremony will take place on 30 March.
