As a change from our usual format we are holding a panel discussion as part of our next retail-focused seminar. To accommodate all of our retail network and give you an opportunity to network with HR and employment lawyer colleagues, we will be running this event on a hybrid basis from our London office. We will be covering the following topics:

  • Hidden disabilities – our panel discussion will contain practical tips on being an inclusive employer, making reasonable adjustments and the legal risks retailers need to be aware of.
  • Equality Act 2010 changes – our seminar will focus on the proposed new duty to prevent sexual harassment and the reintroduction of liability for harassment of employees by third parties.

Joining Dan Fawcett, Jo Martin and Christina Tolvas-Vincent from our experienced employment law team for the panel discussion will be:

  • Melanie Francis – Director of Neurodiversity at Work at Do-IT Solutions Ltd, an organisation focused on neurodiversity including in employment
  • Deb Garrett – Wellness & Inclusion Partner at B&Q
  • Jude Shepherd – Barrister, 42 Bedford Row - Jude specialises in all aspects of employment law, as a Fee Paid Employment Judge in the Employment Tribunals in Scotland. Jude has extensive experience of Tribunal claims involving hidden disabilities and has recently delivered training to judicial colleagues on the importance of understanding neurodiversity.

While this seminar will be run as a hybrid event, we do hope you can join us in person. Following the session we will have a networking lunch.
