Laura is an associate in our technology, media and communications team. She advises both public and private organisations on the use and exploitation of technology, including intellectual property licensing, outsourcing arrangements, hosting agreements and research and development agreements. 

Laura is experienced in advising the public and private sector on major procurements of technology and/or technology related services. She also advises a number of clients who have received the benefit of grant funding from public sources. 

Prior to joining Bond Dickinson, Laura was seconded for 18 months' in-house at a UK Government funded innovation centre which has been tasked with stimulating innovation in the transport sector. 

Laura has a particular interest in smart cities and the use of open data and is a member of the Open Data Institute.

    Experience
    • Advising Ministry of Justice on the outsourcing of its translation and transcription requirements, which included the preparation and negotiation on a number of agreements with multiple suppliers
    • Advising Post Office on the outsourcing of the provision of the Post Office Card Account
    • Advising on the agreements necessary for the development of autonomous vehicles to be piloted in the United Kingdom
    • Advising on development and provision of software at airports across the United Kingdom to provide real-time information about the departure of aircraft to a European flight information network.
