Fiona joined the firm in June 2014 as a Paralegal within the Legal Solutions Centre (LSC) Casualty and Property Risks Team and then moved to the LSC Flex team in May 2015. Prior to joining Womble Bond Dickinson, Fiona graduated from the University of Plymouth with a 2:1 (Hons) LLB Law degree and completed a Certificate in Psychology from the University of Derby. 

Fiona has worked for Cigna Insurance Service Limited as a Travel Claims assessor and Telemarketing Sales Associate. Both roles involved providing in-depth policy coverage information on various commercial insurance policies.   

Fiona has joined the Environmental sub-team within Flex, but also carries out work for a variety of other departments. Additionally, Fiona has specialist knowledge in dealing with subrogated recovery claims within the insurance sector.

  • Using Red Flag Alert and Companies House to research various companies
  • Ordering Official Copies via the Land Registry
  • Registration of notices on property titles via the Land Registry

  • Preparing Statements of Cost
  • Reviewing draft Bill of Costs
  • Conducting insolvency checks on individuals and companies
  • Instructing Trace Agents to carry out residential and employment checks
  • Completing file reviews and preparing a work chit detailing progression of the matter
  • Preparing pre-litigation reports to assess the merits of bringing a claim
