Andrew Wein is a seasoned consumer financial services attorney with more than 25 years of experience across regulatory compliance, litigation, and enforcement matters. Having worked in consumer lending from nearly every vantage point, he brings a practical, business-driven perspective to advising financial institutions and related businesses.

Andrew represents clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, and his practice spans licensing, corporate governance, and complex transactional matters. He regularly advises clients on asset acquisitions and compliance reviews in the consumer lending space, as well as negotiating servicing agreements and related contracts. Drawing on extensive operational experience – including leading the integration of key business units following acquisitions – Andrew counsels clients with a deep understanding of how legal, compliance, and business considerations intersect.

With a particular focus on mortgage lending and servicing, Andrew defends financial institutions in litigation and regulatory matters involving state and federal agencies. He routinely handles matters arising under a wide range of consumer protection statutes, including the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act), and analogous state laws. Andrew also advises clients on data privacy and consumer data issues, including businesses outside traditional financial services such as auto companies, mortgage investors, and entities engaged in non-traditional mortgage lending.

Andrew is a long-time volunteer with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. Through his work with Legal Aid, he assists immigrant families with drafting and executing durable powers of attorney and healthcare proxies to ensure continuity of care for their children.
