The Venus Awards – dubbed by Channel 4 as “The Working Women’s Oscars” – launched the new super-size region of Hampshire on Wednesday, 26 April 2017 at Chilworth Manor Hotel, commencing the seven-month cycle of events to discover the brightest female business stars in its midst. The Awards celebrate the vital contribution that women in business make to the local, regional, and national economy.

In the new Venus region of Hampshire, nominees and applicants will be competing in up to 15 categories that include amongst others Company of the Year, Marketing and PR, Influential Woman, Employer, Customer Service, Business Mother, Director of the Year, Small Business and Lifetime Achievement.
The Awards are unique in that anyone can nominate a friend, client or family member.
The Awards in the new super-size Venus region of Hampshire have two Associate Sponsors for 2017. The first being Peter Cooper Motor Group, whose strong support of the aims of the Venus Awards in Hampshire having been Associate Sponsor in both Southampton and Portsmouth in previous years, continues apace. This year, they are also sponsoring the Hampshire Venus Awards 2017 car and the Influential Woman of the Year Award.
The second Associate Sponsor is Wightlink Ferries who were Associate Sponsor for last year’s Isle of Wight Venus Awards and will now also be sponsoring the public vote category of Customer Service in Hampshire.

Charity sponsor for the inaugural Hampshire Venus Awards is Countess Mountbatten Hospice that serves people with life limiting illnesses across a community in excess of 720,000 and a catchment spanning 460 square miles.
The Hampshire Venus Awards 2017 in association with Peter Cooper Motor Group and Wightlink Ferries will culminate in a glamorous Ceremony and Gala Dinner to be held at The Spark, Southampton Solent University on Saturday, 11 November 2017.
