"Flexible legal solutions and innovative technology in the Real Estate sector"
As we are all aware, the structure of strategic real estate transactions and approach to ongoing asset management has already undertaken a shift in approach with disaggregation of work, the use of technology and smarter ways of working achieving greater efficiencies. This has combined to transform service delivery.
In this talk, our WBD Advance team will examine the tools being used now in service delivery including a case study for the roll out of the shared estates government contract. It will also look into the future at what is on the horizon where artificial intelligence can become routine.
There will also be a brief update on recent case law including the case of Mears v Costplan Services (South East) Ltd which relates to Crescent Point in Plymouth and covers practical completion and material breaches in agreement for leases along with an update on the business rates cases and whether shams are allowed and if the corporate veil can be pierced.
As the Tenant Fees Act 2019 is due to come into force shortly after the talks take place, we will also be providing a very brief update on what this legislation means and an overview of the restrictions that it places on landlords and letting agents when charging fees to tenants.
