International law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has advised Lomond, the UK's leading network of lettings and sales agents, on its acquisition of Prospect, an independent lettings and estate agency operating across Berkshire, Surrey, and Hampshire.
The acquisition marks another milestone in Lomond’s strategic growth journey, expanding its footprint in the Home Counties with another market-leading hub brand to cement and increase the group’s presence in the densely populated corner of England.
Prospect was founded over 35 years ago by fellow Directors Colin Wells and James May and has since built an outstanding reputation for exceptional client service, a people-first culture and industry-leading standards. From its beginnings as a single branch in Bracknell, the business has grown organically and through strategic acquisitions to encompass 10 branches and manage more than 3,500 properties. With the backing and resources of Lomond, Prospect is poised to accelerate its growth.
The multidisciplinary WBD team advising Lomond was led by corporate partner David Ridley with support from associate Hannah Severgnini and solicitor Rianna Farrow. The firm is a consistent advisor on acquisitions for Lomond, supporting them on the investment from ICG, as well as their first foray into the London market with the acquisition of Chase Evans in 2024 and the purchase of Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH).
David Ridley commented:
"We're delighted to have once again supported Lomond on this significant acquisition. This transaction expands Lomond's presence into new territory in the Thames Valley. We look forward to continuing our partnership as Lomond pursues its ambitious growth strategy."
Ed Phillips, Chief Executive Officer at Lomond said:
"We're grateful to have had the dedicated support of Womble Bond Dickinson throughout this important acquisition. Their expertise and proactive approach have been instrumental in guiding us through each stage of the process. WBD’s understanding of our business and their commitment to our long-term growth make them an invaluable partner as we continue to expand our presence and deliver exceptional service across the UK.
