Travis is an intellectual property attorney focused on mechanical patent prosecution. His practice is centered around managing large global IP portfolios and developing global IP strategies for manufacturing conglomerates. Additionally, he brings experience overseeing multiple formal and informal IP disputes, including negotiating favourable resolutions of patent enforcement suits, defensive patent allegations, formal patent invalidity proceedings, such as inter partes review and EP oppositions, and various trademark disputes worldwide. 

Travis has significant experience across the manufacturing sector with a particular emphasis on industrials. He also has experience advising on transactions involving IP assets and technology and served as the IP lead on multiple corporate acquistions valued at over a billion dollars, including carve-out transactions.

In his previous role as lead Intellectual Property counsel for the industrial sector of a global manufacturing conglomerate, Travis oversaw all intellectual property matters for four strategic business units, and managed an IP docket of over 2,400 active patent assets and 2,000 registered trademarks internationally. 

Prior to his legal career, Travis was a mechanical engineer designing HVAC systems.
