Jenny is an associate in the Commercial Disputes and Regulatory team. She is experienced in resolving a wide range of commercial disputes through negotiation, mediation and litigation where necessary, as well as providing pragmatic advice to clients.
Jenny's sector expertise includes energy and technology related matters. Her particular specialism is in resolving data protection and cyber disputes for organisations.
Experience
Examples of experience include:
- Working on an international data case - following a large cyber attack against an American-based software provider, Jenny helped lead the response to the large volume of UK claims that resulted from the cyber attack, from both organisations and impacted data subjects.
- Advising clients on a range of data protection issues - advising on complex data-related queries and incident response issues following a data breach.
- Managing a range of cases for an energy client – running numerous cases involving contractual disputes, debt recovery, insolvency and consumer litigation. Resolving claims through negotiations, mediation and trial at court where required.
- Aiding the in-house litigation team at an automotive manufacturer – working in-house with the legal team assisting with customer disputes, preparation of contracts and regulatory matters.
- Working on a speedy trial for a contractual dispute - helping helping to bring the matter to an amicable resolution at mediation.
