Harry is an associate in the construction and engineering team, primarily working in disputes but also advising on transactional matters.
Harry has an variety of experience in disputes and has worked on resolving disputes through an array of different forums. This includes referring and responding to adjudications, issuing claims and counterclaims in Court litigation, defending Court litigation, organising and attending successful mediations, participating in arbitration proceedings, and resolving disputes via the Pre-Action Protocol.
Experience
- Working as part of a client's adjudication team in multiple adjudications, work on this matter included discussing this matter with the client, discussing the matter with instructed Counsel, reviewing draft submissions from Counsel and helping to issue and serve submissions.
- Working as part of a client's legal team to help advise the client on the possible claim(s) they may have in respect of defects found at a high profile property. Work on this matter includes instructing expert witnesses and liaising with them, liaising with the client to understand which parties may be liable for the defects found in the passport office.
- Working for an insurer client to advise them on the viability of any claim(s) against their insured. Work carried out on this includes liaising with the client and the insured to obtain further information and documentation, reviewing the documentation provided and the legislation that may apply to this matter and advising the insurer on the potential liability of the insured and what next steps should be taken.
- Working for a client to review multiple contracts they are involved in and advising them on how to terminate their contracts and drafting a comprehensive notice of termination for the client to use in those contracts.
- Reviewing a comprehensive schedule of amendments to the JCT Design & Build 2024 contract for a Developer client from their prospective main contractor and providing commentary in a report for the client.
