Curtis Schehr is a member of Womble Bond Dickinson’s GCSolutions team, which provides affordable on-demand, scalable legal services to corporate law departments and small and medium companies. Curtis brings a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years as a general counsel and senior executive advising clients in the government contracting and national security sector. He has provided guidance on government and commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, employment law, corporate governance, ethics and compliance, and intellectual property.
Curtis offers clients valuable insight in navigating complex regulatory and business environments and applies his experienced perspective on matters involving government contractors and enterprise risk. He has significant experience negotiating high-value transactions, navigating regulatory frameworks, and counseling clients facing compliance and enforcement challenges. Curtis has also reviewed, drafted, and negotiated varied contractual agreements with government agencies and commercial counterparties in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
Having served as a chief legal officer, Curtis understands the practical demands facing senior executives and in-house legal teams and brings a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to solving complex legal matters. This experience enables him to help clients anticipate risk, manage regulatory challenges, and achieve key business objectives.
Prior to joining the firm, Curtis served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of DCS Corporation. He previously served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of DynCorp International Inc. (NYSE: DCP), and as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Anteon International Corporation (NYSE: ANT).
