Brian C. Vanderhoof

Brian Vanderhoof is a litigator who has spent more than a decade in the state and federal courts of California and Nevada, representing plaintiffs and defendants across a broad range of intellectual property and complex commercial disputes. His practice is built on trial and litigation work, and he is comfortable at every stage of a federal case, from preliminary injunctions and dispositive motions through e-discovery and trial.

Much of Brian's work centers on intellectual property, where he represents local and national businesses in matters involving trademark, trade dress, the Lanham Act, unfair competition, false advertising, copyright, right of publicity, patent, and related business torts. His commercial litigation practice runs alongside it, covering trade secret misappropriation claims, disputes over intentional interference with contractual relationships, and the prosecution and defense of commercial contract claims. He represents corporate clients on both sides of these disputes.

Brian also maintains an active consumer litigation practice. He handles breach of warranty cases for automotive manufacturers and defends consumer fraud claims in state and federal court. He represents financial institutions in matters arising under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and he has considerable experience defending claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, including cases involving robocalls and more traditional junk fax claims.
