Nicole Kim’s practice focuses on patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, intellectual property portfolio management, and technology transactions. She counsels clients on protecting and managing their intellectual property assets across all stages of development, including patent and trademark procurement, global portfolio strategy, and brand protection. In addition, Nicole has experience drafting and negotiating a range of commercial and intellectual property agreements, including licenses, confidentiality agreements, and other transactional agreements.
Nicole advises clients across a wide range of industries and technology areas, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, UI/UX, cloud-based technology, hardware, medical device, consumer products, cosmetics, fashion, and beauty. Drawing on her prior experience as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where she examined utility patent applications and evaluated patent eligibility, Nicole offers clients practical and insightful guidance on prosecution strategy. Her technical background further enables her to advise clients on emerging technologies and areas of growth within their industries.
