Ben is an associate based in Newcastle in the Agriculture, Farms and Estate team.
He advises landed estates, institutional lenders, companies, charities, trusts and private individuals in relation to all aspects of rural property law, including:
- Sales and acquisitions of farms, agricultural land, residential rural property and development sites including overage agreements
- Sales and acquisitions of commercial grouse moors
- Financing and refinancing of agricultural property
- Easements, profits à prendre and rights of common
- Agricultural tenancy matters
- First registrations of land and sporting rights
He has a particular interest in acting for landowners in the grant of options and leases to renewable energy operators.
He has acted for landowners in relation to Solar PV development agreements and on options and leases of battery storage facilities.
