WBD is launching an independent claims handling operation for all financial lines claims. The firm has been successfully claims handling for insurance clients for a number of years but is establishing a separate team for financial lines claims led by new lateral hire, David Clark, from Clyde & Co who will be joining WBD's London office.

David led the financial lines claims handling service at Clyde & Co and has over 20 years' experience of handling financial lines claims within the London and regional UK markets. He has previously held several senior claims management positions within insurers. David will be supported by a team of carefully selected individuals who understand how best to service this specialist area of insurance claims.

Sushma MacGeoch, Head of Insurance Disputes at WBD comments:

"Having secured a strong reputation for defending financial lines claims in the UK for over 40 years, we are focused on staying relevant to our insurance clients’ needs in a highly competitive market.

We have been successfully claims handling for clients for several years but we believe the creation of a separate specialist team, with the support of a market-leading claims platform, will enhance the service we offer.  This development clearly demonstrates our continued commitment to supporting our insurance clients."
