Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) yesterday (26th February) hosted a quiz to raise funds for its Bristol office charity, the Somerset & Avon Rape & Sexual Abuse Support (SARSAS)

SARSAS is a specialist support service for people who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any time in their lives, and for their friends and family. It supports people in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. Over 85,000 women experience rape and 400,000 experience sexual assault every year and need support; the charity also supports men and boys.

The quiz was hosted at Ashton Gate, with over 30 teams of stockbrokers, independent financial advisers, banks, agents, accountants and the Bristol Bears themselves attending, raising £5,000 for SARSAS.

Mark Woodward commented:

"Sexual violence is not an easy subject, and people can often feel uncomfortable talking about it. As a firm we are working hard to tackle taboos, break down stigma and bring conversations into our workplace about subjects that haven't always been easy to have. We're proud to support SARSAS and would like to thank everyone who attended our quiz in support of the work that they do."
