Thomas Regan builds and runs large-scale litigation programs for some of the world's largest manufacturers, with a focus on making high-volume defense work more predictable, more efficient, and less costly to the companies that depend on it. Over a career spanning three decades, he has developed a practice centered on consumer warranty and product liability defense, pairing courtroom experience with the operational discipline needed to manage litigation at national scale.
Much of Thomas's work involves designing and leading programs that handle automotive consumer warranty portfolios, and he oversees a multistate team managing thousands of active matters at any given time. That work draws on claims arising under federal and state warranty and consumer protection regimes and requires coordinating defense strategy across multiple jurisdictions simultaneously while holding costs and outcomes to a consistent standard. Clients rely on him not only to try cases but to bring structure to litigation that would otherwise be fragmented across dozens of venues.
A courtroom lawyer at his core, Thomas has served as first chair in numerous trials and has substantial appellate experience, including briefing and argument before the New Jersey appellate courts. He has personally litigated in more than fifteen states and has managed litigation in every state in the country. Corporations and insurers regularly turn to him to evaluate high-exposure claims and position them for resolution or trial, and his broader practice extends to commercial litigation, legal malpractice defense, trust and estate litigation, and MDL and class action work.
