Olivia joined the firm as a paralegal in June 2022. She worked her way to qualification via the SQE route and qualified within the Property Disputes team in February 2025.
Prior to joining Womble Bond Dickinson, Olivia started working as a paralegal in 2018. She worked in insurance disputes (personal injury) for two years before working in the employment department for another one year, where she managed her own case load and was short listed for the best customer service awards due to how efficiently she dealt with her clients' cases. Olivia's interest was always in property disputes and, therefore, in 2021 Olivia worked for a competitor in property disputes, dealing primarily with telecom disputes.
Olivia now specialises in commercial property litigation, advising clients in relation to a wide range of commercial property disputes. These include primarily landlord and tenant matters (under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 such as lease terminations and renewals, dilapidations, lease covenants and recovery of arrears) and wider property issues including easements (including rights of light, rights of support and rights of access), option agreements, title issues, restrictive covenants and interpretation of contracts.
Experience
Examples of Olivia's experience include:
- Acting for major high street retailers, and other clients, on opposed and non-opposed lease renewals and termination under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
- Advising on disputes over rights of way and Tenant's rights under their lease and under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
- Advising on repossession on the ground of trespass
- Advising on enforcement of lease covenants, including interpretation of covenants and service of notices requiring remedial action
- Assisting landlords with portfolio management where possession is required to carry out redevelopment work.
