Jody is a Wealth Advisor at Womble Bond Dickinson, having joined the team in 2019. Jody specialises in providing advice to individuals, including those acting as Attorney or Deputy, trusts and companies and advises on a wide range of financial topics such as pensions, investments and taxation.
She works closely with the firm's legal and tax departments, and enjoys building long term and trusted relationships with her clients. Jody is a member of The Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute, and has a range of qualifications including a Masters in International Business Law and the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
Her qualifications to date cover a wide range of financial planning needs such as portfolio management, retirement and Inheritance Tax planning and financial protection. She is currently working towards the Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in order to obtain Chartered Status, with a particular focus on retirement planning, tax and trusts.

Jody's experience includes:
- Portfolio management - reviewing the suitability of clients' (individuals, trusts and companies) existing financial arrangements, to ensure they are in keeping with their objectives and attitude to risk as well as relevant legislative changes
- Retirement planning - advising clients on both the accumulation of pension benefits to ensure their income needs are met in retirement, as well as advising clients in retirement on the withdrawal of retirement benefits
- Inheritance Tax planning - assisting clients with understanding the implications of Inheritance Tax as well as reducing potential liabilities to preserve wealth for the benefit of future generations
- Trusts - helping clients understand the different trust structures, the roles of the main parties and associated legislative and financial implications of a trust.
