Jennifer specialises in regulatory and commercial issues arising in relation to energy projects. Since joining the team in 2009, she has advised a wide range of public and private sector clients, including DECC and Ofgem, members of the "Big 6" suppliers, numerous renewable operators and some of the UK's largest consumers.
The types of electricity generation projects that Jennifer has advised on range from large offshore wind projects through mid-size onshore wind and energy from waste plants and down to innovative wave and on-site solar developments.
The scope of Jennifer’s advice has included all aspects of the electricity industry including compliance with licences and industry documents, grid connection issues, operations and maintenance as well as trading arrangements.
Jennifer also regularly advises on financial support mechanisms in the sector such as Contracts for Difference, Renewables Obligation and the Feed-in Tariff.
Jennifer also spent six months on secondment with the in-house team at a major energy supplier, where she advised on a range of electricity trading and route to market arrangements.
