Cole is a legal director in the firm's finance group, principally acting for institutional lenders and corporate borrowers from term sheet stage through to completion. With a focus on real estate finance, Cole also advises on a wide variety of work including general corporate debt and acquisition finance.
Specialising in real estate finance, Cole works across sectors and on a range of platforms, including (but not limited to) student accommodation, logistics and large-scale portfolios, on both a secured and unsecured basis. Having spent three years working within a major clearing bank's REF transaction management team, co-ordinating transactions across multiple sectors and with a focus on complex structures, Cole has well-developed perspective on the REF market.
Cole also advises lenders and borrowers on security and intercreditor issues, has undertaken secondments at a major international clearing bank and has experience in drafting template finance documentation and policies for a number of lender clients.

- Lead adviser to an overseas fund (with US institutional investment) on a number of financings (with non-bank lenders) of their light industrial portfolio culminating in a £100,000,000 ten-year term loan investment facility
- Advising a club of clearing banks on a £300,000,000 SLL facility with a major housebuilder
- Lead adviser to a major clearing bank on a £80,000,000 residential portfolio with innovative insurance product
- Advising a multinational group on its range of financing requirements, from its group-level £100,000,000 term and revolving credit facilities to lower value receivables finance transactions in the sporting sector
- Lead banking advisor to a provider of guarantor loans; responsible for advising the group on several refinances of its £150,000,000 warehousing facility with a club of lenders.
