Amy Castell brings a business-driven, operationally grounded approach to legal and compliance matters across the financial services and regulated lending landscape. She began her career in-house with various auto finance companies, gaining hands-on experience across underwriting, funding, servicing, collections, and remarketing. This foundation allows her to align legal strategy with business objectives and deliver clear, practical guidance.

Over the course of her in-house career, Amy has held senior legal and compliance leadership roles, including serving as general counsel and chief compliance officer. Her experience spans governance, operations, regulatory compliance, and complex transactions. She has managed multi-state licensing programs, privacy platforms, regulatory engagements and supervisory examinations, vendor and contract management, and due diligence, and has supported company sales and acquisitions, warehouse facilities, and securitization transactions.

Amy has extensive experience managing dealer relationships and contract purchases across a national footprint, with a strong understanding of vehicle sales and financing, state Motor Vehicle Retail Installment Sales Acts (MVRISAs), and voluntary protection products. She has also overseen both consumer and commercial litigation, focusing on building compliant policies, procedures, and documentation that position companies favorably should disputes arise.

In her advisory practice, Amy counsels clients on federal consumer protection laws, including the FDCPA, FCRA, TILA, SCRA, ECOA, and GLBA, and advises banks, finance companies, online lenders, and other regulated-industry service providers to strengthen compliance strategies and build compliant, market-ready products and programs. She holds a Consumer Credit Compliance Certification through the National Finance Association and is known for her collaborative approach and ability to build trusted, effective relationships across business teams, regulators, and industry partners.
