Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has achieved Platinum rating in its 2026 EcoVadis sustainability assessment, increasing its overall score from 81/100 in 2025 to 92/100 and placing the firm in the top 1% of organisations assessed globally over the last 12 months.
The achievement marks a significant step forward in WBD's responsible business journey, building on three consecutive years of Gold status and reflecting sustained investment in environmental, social and governance performance across the firm.
EcoVadis is one of the world's most widely recognised business sustainability assessment platforms, assessing organisations across four key themes: Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement and Environment. The rating is an important benchmark increasingly used by clients as part of supplier assessment and procurement processes.
Sally Dallow, Partner Lead for Responsible Business at Womble Bond Dickinson, said:
"Achieving Platinum status is more than recognition of progress over the last 12 months. It is evidence of the long-term commitment, investment and collective effort that continues to shape our approach to responsible business across WBD.
"Moving from an already strong score of 81 to 92 places us among the very highest-performing organisations assessed by EcoVadis globally. At a time when expectations from clients, colleagues and communities continue to rise, independent verification of our performance has never been more important. This recognition reflects the strength of the foundations we have built and reinforces our ambition. We see responsible business not as a destination, but as an ongoing opportunity to create lasting value for our people, our clients, our communities and the environment."
The Platinum rating reflects several years of continuous improvement across WBD's responsible business programme, including the strengthening of governance frameworks, the introduction of measurable sustainability targets, enhanced responsible procurement practices and further progress towards recognised international standards and certifications. The result demonstrates how responsible business has become increasingly embedded across the firm's operations, culture and client service delivery.
