Lucy specialises in commercial litigation and regulatory law.  

On the commercial litigation side, she advises clients in relation to breach of contract and tort claims across a number of industries. She regularly brings and defends claims in the County Court and High Court and also has experience of dealing with alternative dispute mechanisms such as negotiations and mediations. She has a developing practice in the energy and financial services sectors. 

On the regulatory side, Lucy often provides strategic regulatory compliance advice to clients (including household names) on health and safety issues. She assists businesses that are under investigation or facing enforcement action by the HSE, Environment Agency, Police or local authorities on issues relating to food safety and food hygiene, environmental breaches and fatal / serious workplace incidents. Lucy also has experience in assisting with public inquiries and high profile independent investigations.

Lucy is a member of the Health and Safety Lawyers Association. 

Experience

  • Acting for retailersmanufacturerstransport companies and other clients in a range of disputes relating to the supply of goods and services
  • Dealing with high-value APP Fraud claims, one of which involved bringing a claim and securing an injunction against persons unknown
  • Acting for lenders in multiple debt recovery claims, including providing legal support in respect of the appointment of LPA receivers
  • Defending large household names in health and safety related prosecutions
