Abi Prabakar represents businesses, financial institutions, auto finance companies, and employers in complex litigation. With nearly a decade in practice, she handles consumer finance disputes, business litigation, employment claims, data breach litigation, and class action defense. She helps clients assess exposure, develop case strategy, and navigate litigation in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings before AAA and JAMS.

Abi defends financial institutions and auto finance companies against claims under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other federal and state consumer protection laws. She develops litigation strategies that account for clients’ operational needs, financial exposure, and long-term business interests.

Abi also defends employers against employment claims, including those brought under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act and California Family Rights Act. She combines legal analysis with an understanding of the workplace dynamics underlying each dispute. As a certified mediator, she brings a resolution-focused perspective to litigation strategy and settlement negotiations.

Business & Individual Immigration:

Abi represents businesses and individuals in immigration applications, and responses to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services requests for evidence. Her practice includes business immigration, family immigration,  adjustment of status, naturalization, and asylum matters. She helps clients identify immigration options, prepare supporting evidence, and address issues affecting employment and business operations in the United States.

Having navigated the U.S. immigration system herself, Abi understands firsthand the uncertainty, complexity, and personal stakes her clients face. That experience informs her commitment to clear guidance, thoughtful advocacy, and helping clients make informed decisions about their futures.
