Michelle Catapang is skilled at defending class actions and other high-risk cases arising under a wide range of consumer protection statutes, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). She also has experience advising clients regarding TCPA compliance.
Michelle gained valuable experience working as a staff attorney for the Honorable Mary E. Wiss of the San Francisco Superior Court. In this role, she assisted the Complex Litigation Department with its docket of complex designated civil actions, including consumer and employment-related class actions, mass torts, and construction disputes. Michelle also served as an extern for the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General, and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye (Ret.) of the California Supreme Court, as well as the Honorable Ronald Evans Quidachay (Ret.) of the San Francisco Superior Court.
