Bond Dickinson is one of the first businesses to be awarded accreditation against the sixth generation Investors in People Standard, demonstrating its commitment to focusing on what matters most to the firm's employees and promoting a culture of high performance.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale in any industry.

Jonathan Blair, Managing Partner at Bond Dickinson, said: "We are delighted to be one of the first legal firms to be assessed and accredited with the generation six framework. We believe that our people make the biggest difference to the success of our firm and by investing in them we are creating sustainable growth for our business.

"This recognition by Investors in People is also important to our clients, many of whom specifically ask about our accreditation when considering us for work because it is a standard they follow and therefore benchmark us against too."

Over the past 12 months Bond Dickinson has introduced a number of initiatives for its people, including providing greater clarity on career pathways, creating new learning and development programmes, launching a graduate website for its trainees and introducing flexible benefits, as well as improving communications within the firm. It was also named as a top 100 employer for school leavers and was the highest ranking law firm.

Blair continued: "In 2015 we launched our vision to become a top 20 UK law firm by 2020 through delivering an outstanding client experience, and our values - delivering excellence, working as one team, putting clients at the heart and valuing our people. Every employee was involved with creating the new framework for our business.

"By listening to our employees to understand what matters most to them and focusing on these areas we will ensure we provide our people with rewarding careers, which in turn will help us be more successful as a firm and for our clients."

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People said: "We'd like to congratulate Bond Dickinson. The Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. Bond Dickinson should be extremely proud of its achievement.
