WBD's private wealth team has been named as one of the 2019 eprivateclient Top Law Firms in the UK – for the seventh year running. The eprivateclient Top Law Firms list recognises firms that provide the highest quality professional advice and support to private wealth clients in the UK and internationally.

2018 was another successful year for the firm's Private Wealth team, which provides in-house legal, tax, financial and wealth advice for individuals, families and advisors with their personal and business needs.

WBD's Private Wealth team has been widely recognised during the last year, including being shortlisted for Regional Law Firm of the Year and Charity Law Firm of the Year at Citywealth's Magic Circle Awards 2019. Lawyer Katie Gosling was also shortlisted for Associate of the Year in Citywealth's Future Leader Awards 2018.

Neil Long, Private Wealth Partner, commented:

"We are delighted to have been recognised as one of eprivateclient's top law firms, an accolade which we have retained for at least seven years. Our continued presence in the list is attributable to the firm's strong partner-led service and also to our innovation in service delivery. WBD's private wealth team prides itself on providing high quality service and advice to our clients and this recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team."

The firm's UK Private Wealth division saw revenue grow by 11% in the last financial year and, following the combination with Womble Carlyle in 2017, the team has seen a significant increase in engagements from US-based private banks and financial institutions, including advising a family with a net worth of over £1bn on succession planning.
