Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP has promoted 20 new partners and of counsel. The promotions took effect Jan. 1, 2024.
Anthony Amert (Partner—Denver) helps businesses establish and execute large-scale intellectual property acquisition programs, and tailors the programs to the individual business needs of the businesses.
David Berkley (Partner—Irvine, CA) is a seasoned commercial trial attorney with deep experience in the financial services sector where he has litigated hundreds of matters for banking clients. David also focuses his practice on commercial real estate litigation and partnership disputes.
Gerard Clodomir (Of Counsel—Greensboro, NC) is an experienced litigator who primarily represents clients in matters concerning state and federal employment laws. He has successfully defended lawsuits in state and federal courts, as well as proceedings before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and the Department of Labor.
Nikole Crow (Partner—Atlanta) represents insurers and employers in litigation involving employee benefit plans. She has extensive experience litigating ERISA claims as well as in complex litigation involving myriad individual insurance policies and annuities subject to state regulation.
Kevin Davis, Ph.D. (Partner—Houston) focuses his practice on patent due diligence, counseling, and opinions as well as patent preparation and prosecution for a broad spectrum of oil and gas, chemistry, pharmaceutical, and medical device clients. His practice has also included serving as counsel on Inter Partes Review (IPR) and Derivation proceedings in front of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) as well as an appeal of an IPR decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC).
Rhett DeHart (Partner—Charleston/Columbia/Greenville, SC) focuses on criminal and civil actions involving bank fraud, healthcare fraud, the False Claims Act, customs and import fraud, securities fraud, environmental crimes, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and internal investigations. He is the former Acting United States Attorney in South Carolina, capping a 20-year career as a Federal Prosecutor.
Taylor Ey, CIPP/US, CIPP/E (Partner—Research Triangle Park, NC) counsels clients through complex privacy and data security matters, navigating ever-changing laws to identify practical solutions to achieve business objectives. She also advises clients in intellectual property transactions to purchase, sell or license IP rights and negotiates technology- or data-heavy commercial contracts.
Nicholas Hawkins (Partner—Baltimore) works with companies of all sizes by assisting them with intellectual property management, private equity and venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate governance. He is the former assistant in-house trademarks counsel for one of the world’s largest sports companies.
Chris Hewitt (Partner—Winston-Salem/Charlotte, NC) is a corporate & securities and private wealth lawyer, focusing his practice in the areas of generational wealth transfer planning, trust and estate administration and tax-exempt planning. Chris also assists with the creation of tax-exempt entities and regularly advises operating tax-exempt entities on tax and governance issues. Chris currently serves as a Director and the Vice Chair of the SECU Family House in Winston-Salem, and as a Co-Chair of the CLE Committee of the Estate Planning and Fiduciary Law Section of the North Carolina State Bar Association.

Kathleen Gallagher (Of Counsel—Washington, DC) focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis in contract disputes, business fraud, and employment claims. She has extensive experience in complex construction and engineering litigation, telecom litigation, wage and hour class actions, mass tort and products liability claims, government contract disputes, as well as in the areas of personal injury, and insurance defense and coverage.
Barlow Keener (Of Counsel—Boston) provides in-depth FCC regulatory analysis and transactional counsel for clients involved in investments in innovative FCC-related internet issues, spectrum matter, FCC satellite issues, high-altitude platforms (HAPS), fixed and mobile technologies, small cell technologies, long-haul fiber networks, and data centers.
