Building on its successful tech-focused Intellectual Property practice, Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP’s Silicon Valley office has expanded its services to include corporate and securities capability, with the addition of experienced deal-making attorney Steve Clinton. Clinton has assumed the role of Corporate & Securities Team Leader, Silicon Valley.
Clinton guides Silicon Valley’s tech companies in mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions. In addition, by negotiating and facilitating venture capital transactions, debt offerings, equity financings and other funding mechanisms, he helps these businesses obtain the capital needed to grow. Clinton also advises companies on a full range of SEC compliance issues.
His client roster includes both established and emerging technology companies, including Ensphere Solutions, Inc. and Affiliate Traction.
Clinton’s hiring brings a corporate, securities and transactional practice to the Silicon Valley office of Womble Carlyle, where corporate transactions are a bedrock practice of the firm as a whole. Clinton joins a firm-wide team of 80+ Corporate & Securities attorneys, many of whom focus on tech industry clients. In fact, Womble Carlyle is the founder and presenter of FastPitch, a quick-hitting venture capital meet-up for emerging tech companies and the investors that fund them. Womble Carlyle’s corporate attorneys also frequently write and speak on topics of interest to the tech sector.
Clinton comes to Womble Carlyle from the Silicon Valley office of Bingham McCutchen LLP (now Morgan Lewis and Bockius).
