CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Womble Carlyle attorney Ted Claypoole participated in a televised June 24th panel discussion on Cyber Security. The discussion aired on PBS’s Carolina Business Review.

Joining Claypoole in the discussion were Mike Holland, Executive Vice President of Fortalice Solutions, and Pete Murphy, CIO of Cardinal Innovations.

Claypoole said cyber security involves personal awareness, not just better technology.

“We are much easier to manipulate, in many ways, than the machines are,” he said. “Phishing is always going to work, to a certain extent, because people who are clever or smart can make you or me think we are hearing from your children, your mother or your boss.”
