AUSTIN, TEXAS—Womble Bond Dickinson is a long-time supporter of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), and once again, the firm was actively engaged in the 2019 NAPABA Convention.

Tara Cho (Raleigh), Vivian Coates (Winston-Salem), Ericka Johnson (Wilmington), Siaw Ching Lee (D.C.), Kevin Lyn (Raleigh), Karthika Perumal (Houston), Gemma Saluta (Winston-Salem), Sid Shenoy (Charlotte), Nicole Su (Irvine), and Joann Waters (Winston-Salem). Team members connected with clients, attended numerous CLEs, took part in Women’s Leadership sessions, and participated in the networking opportunities. The Womble Bond Dickinson team included first-time NAPABA Convention attendees as well as attorneys who have attended multiple (five or more) conventions.
In addition, Sid Shenoy was honored with the NAPABA Best Lawyers Under 40 Award at the convention. He was one of only 15 attorneys nationally honored with the award this year. In addition to his professional and firm leadership accomplishments, Sid led the process to form a regional NAPABA affiliate, the Charlotte Asian Pacific American Bar Association (CAPABA). He served as the group’s first President, and now serves as Chairman of its Board of Directors.
NAPABA is the preeminent professional development organization and voice for 50,000 Asian Pacific American attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students. NAPABA represents the interests of nearly 90 national, state, and local Asian Pacific American bar associations. The organization is the national voice for the Asian Pacific American legal profession, promotes justice, equity, and opportunity for Asian Pacific Americans, and fosters professional development, legal scholarship, advocacy, and community involvement.
The 2019 NAPABA Convention took place Nov. 7-10 in Austin. More than 2,000 people attended this year’s convention, making it the largest in NAPABA’s history.
