CHARLOTTE, NC—Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Sid Shenoy has been named one of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) Best Lawyers Under 40 Award winners for 2019. He is one of only 15 attorneys nationally honored with the award this year.

The NAPABA Best Lawyers Under 40 Award recognizes “talented individuals within the Asian Pacific American legal community under the age of 40 who have achieved prominence and distinction in their fields of endeavor—be it the practice of law, academia, business, civic and charitable affairs, the judiciary, or politics—and who have demonstrated a strong commitment to Asian Pacific American civic or community affairs.”

At Womble Bond Dickinson, Shenoy is Co-Chair of the Firm’s Public Company Advisors Team and focuses his practice on the representation of public companies in securities transactions, and counsels clients with respect to ongoing SEC compliance and related corporate governance matters. He also serves on the Board of Directors of GCSolutions, a division of Womble Bond Dickinson offering affordable, scalable services staffed by highly qualified attorneys.

Shenoy also serves as Chair of the Womble Inclusion Network (WIN), an attorney resource group comprised of diverse lawyers across the Firm, and as a member of the Firm’s Diversity & Inclusion and Professionalism Committees. In 2017, he led the process to form a regional NAPABA affiliate, the Charlotte Asian Pacific American Bar Association (CAPABA), served as the group’s first President, and now serves as Chairman of its Board of Directors.

NAPABA is the preeminent professional development organization and voice for 50,000 Asian Pacific American attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students. NAPABA represents the interests of nearly 90 national, state, and local Asian Pacific American bar associations. The organization is the national voice for the Asian Pacific American legal profession, promotes justice, equity, and opportunity for Asian Pacific Americans, and fosters professional development, legal scholarship, advocacy, and community involvement.

Shenoy and the other award winners will be honored at the 2019 NAPABA Convention, to be held November 7-10 in Austin, Texas.
